Charity Navigator, a nonprofit organization recognized as America's largest independent evaluator of charities, has an immediate opening for a Program Support Representative working  in our Bergen County, New Jersey office.

This outstanding individual will be responsible for inbound and outbound customer service (our customers being charities and the generous donors who support their work). In addition, the role includes data collection from nonprofit organizations, and data entry of charity-related results.

This entry-level position is an ideal opportunity for a college grad to gain experience with the pro-social sector and with team-based office work in a relaxed and supportive environment. This is a freelance position, without benefits, that has the potential to evolve into a full time job with health and retirement benefits.

The program support representative serves as an important and introductory member of our Program Team, with opportunities for advancement and promotion within Charity Navigator. This position is an opportunity to discover the inner workings of nonprofit financial practices and federal government regulation of nonprofit finances.

Currently Charity Navigator evaluates over 9,000 charities, in all 50 states, as well as many who operate internationally.

We are seeking an outstanding candidate for this position. Non-profit, public policy, public administration, economics, or accounting knowledge and experience is valued, but not required.

Applicants must possess outstanding written and oral communications skills and be proficient with all contemporary office technology. The ideal candidate will be energetic, positive, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic.
